A city of parks,
and a habit of
looking closely.

Borrowed Scenery — Japanese Garden, Herăstrău

I'm Dragosh — a photographer based in Bucharest, happiest at the edge of a lake at first light, and never without a camera when the road leads somewhere else.

I don't keep to one subject. In a single week the camera might hold a catamaran far out on the water, a parakeet building its nest in a warm square, and an armful of flowers left cooling in a side chapel. What ties it together isn't the thing photographed — it's the way of looking: slow, close, and patient enough to wait for the light to agree.

Most of the work happens in Bucharest's parks and lakes — Herăstrău at dawn, the old bridges of Cișmigiu — and the rest is whatever I carry home from further off. I shoot on a Canon R5 and a small Sony, in available light only, and I answer my own email.
